An extraordinary visitor facility awaits you at the historic boarder station in Bayerisch Eisenstein!

Here you can get information on the National Park Bavarian Forest and Šumava, the area of outstanding natural beauty Šumava and the Nature Park Bavarian Forest.

In addition, you can find on five floors a European Bat Centre, the exhibition "King Arber", an Eastern Bavarian ski museum and an exhibition and installing on the history of the railway.

Nature Park Inn boarder station – wine cellar – beer garden.
In the waiting hall for the first class from the year 1877 you can enjoy food and drinks in an historic atmosphere.

The NaturparkWelten in the boarder station were certified after the criteria of the nationwide mark "Travelling for everybody" and are entitled to have the certification "Barrier free proofed".

National Park Center Falkenstein

At the National Park Center Falkenstein in the National Park Bavarian Forest near Ludwigsthal you can visit the visitor centre "Haus zur Wildnis" and the animal enclosures with the look-out and the stone age cave is barrier-free and an ideal destination for the whole family.

Glass Museum Frauenau

The "Glasmuseum Frauenau – state museum on the history of glass tradition", built in 2005, takes its visitors on a trip through the cultural history of glass, from the beginnings in Mesopotamia until today. The tourist information of the holiday place Frauenau is located in the glass museum.

Großer Arber

The "Großer Arber" gets with its 1456 m to the climatic forest line as the only summit of the Bavarian-Bohemian border massive. Therefore, the highest mountain in the ARBERLAND is closer to the sky than to the earth.
